The global economic recovery is helping Koreans decide to spend their vacations overseas, and the popularity of the Korean Wave has been boosting up the demand of tourists from Japan, China, and Southeast Asia. Therefore, more international airlines are ready to launch their new flight routes to the Incheon International Airport. Especially, the routes connecting China-Korea-Japan are wildly popular, and low cost airlines have their eyes on those routes.
Japanese ANA is planning to found a low cost airline which will fly to cities within 4 hours. That includes not only local cities but cities in Korea and China. Another Airline from Japan, StarFlyer will launch charter flights from Kita-Kyushu to Busan and Osaka to Busan On March 25. In July 2011, the routes from Kita-Kyushu to Busan will become regular and there will be 2 flights a day. In addition, Sichuan Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Spring Airlines, Air India, and AeroLogic are preparing to put their flights in service on the Incheon route. Meanwhile, In November 2010, AirAsia started their flights from Incheon to Kuala Lumpur, and Etihad Airways has got a flight from Incheon to Abu Dhabi from December 2010.
